Twisted, but strangely fluffy
[22:46] [Moltare] Not to put too fine a point on it: Who would like to see a FLEET theme tune composed by Frank Klepacki, composer of the C&C music and other classics of the genre?
[22:46] [Echo[Fox-Coon]] :O
[22:46] [Vornotron] :O
[22:46] [Silver_Adept] Dood!
[22:46] [ToxicFrog[wr0k]] !!!
[22:46] [Blakey] o_O
[22:46] [Mork] !
[22:46] [Echo[Fox-Coon]] Woah.
[22:46] [JimStarluck] !!!
[22:46] [Mahmoth] Dear Goddess...
[22:46] [Vornotron] !!! O.o :O !!!
[22:46] * ToxicFrog[wr0k] wraps his head in duct tape to prevent his soft, tender brainmeats from exploding.
[22:46] [Thalass] ...
[22:46] [C_tiger_work] *boggles*
[22:46] * Thalass faints

So then. Three minutes of original Frank Klepacki work to our specification, fully available for our use in any project that is not a commercial computer game. $1000 for a C&C style theme tune, $2000 for a full orchestral work.

How much can you put forward?

I can contribute what's required, up to a point. 1/40th is doable. Even 1/20th at a stretch. For awesomeness value I would go for the full orchestral version. Though both would be nifty, but is probably pushing things a bit. :P

Also: How does it happen? Do we supply a description of FLEET, and Mr Klepacki mojos something appropriate up?

The details are not set in stone, but I would imagine we shall be providing a list of works we admire and allowing him to draw inspiration from that...

Dude... that would be awesome...

Pencil me in for $50. Maybe more if there is a crunch.

It may just be the inspiration I need to actually write a fleet computer game... although it would have to be non-commercial...

Wow. Um. Wow?

I can put some forth out of my little stash of funds. I'll discuss it with Sartan and get back to you. Consider me in for a portion of it.

I, too, can pitch in, probably to the tune of $50. I'll just have to figure out a way to get it to where it's going without the exchange rate killing it all.

Do you accept perfectly healthy, donor-quality, non-vital organs? If this goes through, I don't want to miss out on it ¬¬

Times like these, I wish I had cash.

Nonetheless, I'll see what I can do to pitch in.

Well, see, I haven't got any cash or credit cards, but I've got this absolutely lovely kidney. Can I pay in kidney?

$20, American. Might be able to scratch up another $30 if it's critical.

We've fired off emails to a number of composers, Frank got back to us first. As more quotes arrive, we'll reassess.

Depending on how my finances work out, I could end up being in for anywhere between $25 and $100. (It helps that no games or movies I want are coming out...)

Argh. I'm totally out of cash, as usual. Depending on when the payment comes due, I may be able to pitch in $20-50 or so, but right now I've got zilch. But still, awesome!

A good Nemesis require their own theme song. (At least, insamuch as M-Div sees FLEET as a Nemesis) I might be able to toss something into the kitty at some point once prices are finalized and such. Because the idea of having one's own theme music, even if I'm not part of that Board faction, is too cool to pass up.

Why nemesis? We're merely aligned along different facets of Fiction- FLEET holds sway over the realms of speculative science, and M-Div controls the fantastical. An alliance as a ways to cover each other's weak points sounds more... profitable.

As a tax-paying (merchendise buying) member of the webcomic community I would be remiss if I were to deny such an august assemblage as FLEET the awesomeness of a professional theme song.

If this does not have a time limit I will contribute $50. Perhaps more should something considerable be dedicated in my honor, such as a Dormitory at the Academy or an Officer's Lavatory (I've been told that both structures have the same real estate value).

We could start calling it "The Tom" instead of "The John". ¬¬ ;D
